Cause and Effect Essay (Effect)
Practicing a sport is much more than the pure act of pushing your body through exhaustion or using your skills to reach your goals. There are many effects that show after you get involved in a sport. I am going to discuss some effects in this paper.
The first major effect of practicing a sport is that you will develop physical abilities. Your body will be in better shape and you will be able to do things that you couldn’t physically do before. For example your speed, strength, stamina, lung capacity, and flexibility will increase largely. By exercising on a regular basis your body will be healthier which means fewer diseases and fewer injuries could happen to you. People with healthy lifestyles often tend to live longer and happier than people who don’t.
The second effect has to do with your personal life. Sports will often get deep into your personal life. Practicing sports requires some time, so you will be entertained for a while everyday instead of watching T.V. or lurking on the internet. Sometimes in sports you will get the chance to travel to new places to compete in tournaments and stuff if you are good enough. Once you get there you could be noticed by scouts and maybe get sponsored and even make it a career!
Finally, practicing a sport can reflect on your character and social status. You will meet a lot of people in the business, from beginners to maybe professionals. You might meet a few people who will become your friends and make the sport sort of a second family. Team mates can become good friends. Sports can also make you a disciplined and responsible person, which will certainly help you in your professional life.
The effects of being an athlete shape your body, life, and mind in a good way. It keeps you entertained and gives you something to do so you are not bored. In addition you will have the chance to feel the emotion of beating an opponent and seeing that your hard work paid off!
