I struggle with those lingering thoughts that bring me to believe that i am a horrible person or that how far i've come in my life isn't enough. As a Christian, I know that those kind of thoughts is not something that a believer should have in their mind, but it does happen. Being human, we go through so much day to day that life sometimes can get in the way and make you reevaluate your life. The enemy really does pull you in when you aren't focusing on God, while trying to go about things in your own right rather than God's way. My strategy to getting rid of defeat would be to pray about my negative thoughts, that they don’t give me life and have no part in my head. When someone talks to me about their childhood and they bring up that time when they went to the zoo, that brings up memories of myself going to the zoo with my family. Just by a simple word, zoo, bringing an instantaneous thought to my head. Positive thoughts that you put on throughout the day can make you feel amazing and happy, whereas putting off a thought, a thought to which is packed with so much negativity can ruin your day or your life. When I try to put away negativity such as thinking I am a failure, it is hard to just push that thought to the side. It is harder to try to put off a negative thought alone without power behind it. In this case prayer is the power I have through God to banish negativity. I cannot thank Him enough for putting off evil thoughts when I simply
