Throughout the book, Elisa has been fighting for many different things, such as her family, her friends and even people she doesn’t know. She has made a towering decision to fight for the underground and against Hitler’s madness because she feels that it’s right. By volunteering to be apart and fight for the underground, she was signing her own death certificate, risking her own life for others and it was because of that little voice inside of her telling her that it was for something she believed was truly the life at stake. Bodie and Brock Thoene are showing us through Elsia that courage is will not just knowledge. Developing the courage to fight for what you believe in is key to today's society. We need people in this world who are willing to be bold and have courage for what they believe is right not just because other people aren’t or are but because they have the courage and the will to do what is
