John Proctor want to win the court case for his wife and his friend wives. Right now, John Proctor is in the hot seat at the court. In act 3 line 621 he started to say "Peace, Gile, we'll prove it all now"(Miller). When Proctor says this, he wants his friends not to get angry or upset because the proof that he has might turn the tide of the court. If they get angry then the judge gets angry then the judge might not rule in their favor.
