Characters In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

The book “ Of Mice and men” is a novella written by John Steinbeck. The setting takes place in california two friends that migrate to find jobs and achieve their dreams to get their own land. The two main characters are George Milton and Lennie small, These two are like brothers. George is short but an irresolute man and Lennie is a tall guy with so many strength abilities but he also has a mental disability that makes him a slow learner and therefore george takes care that he doesn’t get into trouble. Other major characters are Slim, Candy, Crooks, Carlson, Curley, and Curley’s wife. Slim is the leader of the mule team everyone respects, he becomes an ally of George and takes care of Lennie as well when he gets into trouble with Curley. Candy
Lennie on the other hand is fascinated with her and her soft hair, this leads him to get into a major problem in the solution. George of course is the protector of Lennie but once he finds out what had happened he tries his best to protect him but at the end he can't keep it anymore which leads him to make a choice that will solve everything even if it's not the choice he would want. This book was very entertaining because i like how it uses the unexpected to play with your emotions. This book really met my expectations not only because it was interesting which i like but, also because of all the drama and the situations that take place. This book has a strong emotional appeal to a person when its read. The only thing that i wish the author would change is add more to the ending or have a sequel to this book. I recommend this book to others because it is very interesting and educational because it takes place during the USA depression period. If you like reading drama books i think this is a book for you because there is sure a lot of drama. After reading this book i think i would like to read more books that have an emotional appeal to a person and has unexpected twist to
