1. The role of the nucleus in a cell is to hold all activities within the cell, the hold genetic information.
2. The function of the cell membrane is to control nutrients and waste entering and leaving the cell. The cell membrane also provides an outer barrier.
3. The cell produces energy to carry out various cellular activities with its mitochondria which is the power house of the cell. They carry out cellular respiration to produce energy for the cell.
4. The organelle that is like a storage container is the vacuole. They store food, water, protein, and sometimes waste.
5. The cell that makes its own energy is a plant cell. They use photosynthesis, by using carbon dioxide, water, and the sun’s energy they make sugar and oxygen. They use the chloroplast organelle when using photosynthesis.
6. The plant cell would be unable to produce glucose which is necessary to life so the cell would die.
7. Animal cell: A= cell membrane B= cytoplasm C= nucleus D= mitochondria
Plant Cell: F= nucleus E= chloroplast G= cell wall
8. The second one with the green outer barrier is the plant cell. I can tell because the plant cell has chloroplasts in the cell and animal cells don’t, as well the plant cell has a cell wall which the animal cell doesn’t.
9. The composition of cytoplasm is a jelly like substance. Cytoplasm also contains organelles, water, and other life supporting materials.
10. The key points of the cell theory are... All living things are made up of one or more cells. Living cell comes from pre-existing cells.
