New research shows that chewing gum offers the surprising health benefits. When we chew continuously the part of our brain called hippocampus that is important for memory increases. Some research indicates that our insulin level receptors in the hippocampus are involved in memory. Chewing gum increases the glucose level fueled by body and mind. Chewing gum also produces more oxygen, glucose, and disposes more carbon dioxide. More beneficial effect would be chewing gum reduces mark of stress. Research shows that the pattern of chewing has a stress reducing outcome. It helps managing your weight; the act of chewing can help reduce your appetite for other unhealthy snacks.
