Description of setting: This observation took place at evening session in TC’s house. TC leaves with her mother and with grandparents. TC’s age 5 years she is having one younger brother whose age is 4 years and elder sister her age 7 years. TC goes to school which is very near to her house.
Immediate context: This observation took place during the evening session in her house. After returning from school the observation was took place in her house. Where TC is having a separate room for her and for her sister. In her room she is having a separate bed to her.
Brief description of the child observation: TC is a female aged 5 years. She is very active and a food lover. TC’s father is no more; she stays with her mother and grandparents. TC is emotionally secure in her relationship with other people. TC is in free play with both adults and children interacting with her.
Aim of observation: The purpose of this observation was to observe TC and determine whether her emotional development is in line with the milestones set down for her age group.

Bibliography: The sample at 16:00 shows the mother interacting with TC and TC reacts positively to her by reaching out to her and saying mama. This would indicate that this baby is ‘securely attached’ (Mary Ainsworth (1979)).
