Most of these kids are forced into the military at a young age. No matter how young these children are, for mostly non-state armies, they are are told to kill innocent people (“The Invisible”). These boys and girls are at youngest around 8 years old and at oldest they are around 17 or 18 years old (“11 facts”). Some countries known to use underaged children are: Afghanistan, Colombia, India, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Mali, Pakistan, Thailand, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and many more countries follow that practice (“11 facts”). Not all kids are forced to fight for these armies, but will chose to because they have no choice. They will …show more content…
choose to go in the military at such a young age because it is their best chance for survival (“stolen”). The reason why the little kids will carry out the brutal missions that they are assigned is because they are very scared and easy to manipulate. Also the kids that they recruit tend not to have a rank in society (“stolen”). Some middle eastern terrorists groups will trick kids to fight for them by offering them a roof over their head, and a free education. (“Syria”) Even though some will volunteer, most of the kids are more than likely forced to fight and be taken away from their families (“child”). Not only are they moved away from their parents or families, but sometimes they will be ordered to kill their own families (“child”). The children that they capture or take away from their families are usually from small villages or towns because it makes it easier to take them without a huge struggle (“child”). Once the child is taken away they are generally told that they will never see or be in contact with their family again (“Innocence”). There is a vast majority of little infants that are taken away from their families and have to witness their family be slaughtered right in front of them (“Innocence”). One of the main locations in the world where the kids are taken away from their families is in small African villages (“Innocence”).
People might think that a child being put in the military by is bad enough, but no, many of these little innocent kids are forced to fight on the front lines (“Invisible”).
The commanders of these child armies will make them carry out deadly missions such as suicide bombing, act as spies, hold checkpoints, or fight on the front lines of defense (“Invisible”). Increasingly over decades child soldiers have been used as combatants in the warzone (“Invisible”). The reason why some of these children aren’t recognized is because when they are little they are killed or severely injured and left to die. The teenagers look closer to an adult so it is harder to recognize.
(“Invisible”).
In conclusion, kids need to be rescued from these child armies. Governments need to try and locate where these terrorists groups are hunting around and looking for innocent kids. Too many kids are being killed for nothing and are taken away from their lives and don’t the chance to group and live their lives. The use of Child Soldiers is inhumane because they are forced into the military at a young age, taken away from their families, and used on the front lines.
