Childhood Education Center Observation
On the morning of October 12th, I observed an early childhood education center. It was located in a rural town off of a busy road. The facility had roughly 30 children attending while I was present. There were multiple rooms in the center, the rooms were sectioned by the age of the child. Each room had age appropriate toys and structures for play. My time spent at the facility was spent observing the health, safety and nutrition concepts that have been discussed in class. It was easy to look around and see the health and safety components, the nutrition required an interview with staff members to understand their beliefs and how they serve the meals.
