Hane Ames and Kendra Kubala, who work with survivors of trauma, describe “Childhood emotional neglect [as] a form of maltreatment in which caregivers fail to provide the emotional and psychological support, validation, and attention children need during their formative years.”During the stages of children growing up and everything that comes with that, the child needs to be supported, as Ames and Kubala explain.
