Jack isn’t as desperate to get off the island , because when he is on the island he has power and control over the people. All the kids today would want to find a way to get off the island as soon as they possible. I believe that kids today wouldn’t be as prepared to be stranded on an island. Kids would have trouble finding methods of survival and ways to get off the island.
In Lord of the Flies the kids get excited when their is no parents around but today I believe kids would be terrified that their are no adults around to keep them in check. Kids today wouldn’t go so far to kill a child or act like Jack and beat their followers.

Instead of building relations, Jack and Ralph became enemies of each other. I also would have kept the signal fire going myself so we could be rescued and not depend on another survivor to keep the fire going. When the ship comes by in Lord of the Flies I would have made another signal fire quickly so the naval officer would be able to see the boys on the island.
The younger kids should have been watched more carefully so they would all make it off the island alive. Younger kids have a large chance of dying without supervision just like the kid that disappeared in the fire.
If I was the leader on the island I would run things differently than Ralph. First thing I would do is change the positions everybody was in Lord of the Flies. If Jack would have never been put on hunter duty he may have not been as wild as he was at the end of the story. If they all got along they would be off that island in no
