America’s incarceration system should convict juveniles as adult if committed a serious crime. In the article On Punishment and Teen Killers states that this teenager killed a pregnant woman and her husband, to see what would it feel to shoot someone. This specific teenager had no mental disabilities to justify his actions. Another case is Lionel Tate, he killed his 6 year old sister, Tiffany by wrestling. Wrestling between kids should be playful, the expected is pushing, takiling etc. However, in this case was different, this wasn’t playful wrestling, Lionel Tate gave his little sister, Tiffany 35 injuries, cracked skull, broken ribs, laceration in her liver etc. But researchers blame the undeveloped teen’s brains, this statement is stated in the article Startling Finds on Teenage brains. Their reason would be because teenagers brains aren't fully developed. Advocates supports this by publishing propaganda of kids being in prison. However, the justice system argues that teens that do horrific crimes should be convicted. They insist that if it was brain development the problem then why aren't teens killing at the same rate all over the world. Also, the justice system has to think about the victim's family and make justice even if their under age. This are all my reason why kids should be convicted as adults if committed a
