Cholangiocarcinoma Research Paper

Cholangiocarcinoma is a primary malignancy of the bile ducts. It is a rare and aggressive type of cancer that arises from the cells that line the ducts which carry bile from the liver to the small intestine. Most of these tumors are classified as adenocarcinomas, usually slow-growing tumors that can affect any area of the bile ducts and may extend along the length of the common hepatic duct and the common bile duct.
According to Wikipedia, It has an annual incidence rate of 1–2 cases per 100,000 in the United States, but rates of cholangiocarcinoma have been rising worldwide over the past several decades.
Cholangiocarcinoma can be classified by their anatomic site of origin as intrahepatic (within the liver), extrahepatic (outside the liver)
