What styles of bouquets are there?
Cascade: A cascade bouquet is also known as a waterfall, fountain or shower bouquet. This bouquet is rounded at the top. From the top, a stream of flowers flows over your hands for a lovely cascading effect. Your florist can use about any type of flower with this bouquet such as roses, calla lilies and orchids. These types of flowers drape naturally and give the impression of fullness. The cascade is the traditional and most formal of the bouquet styles.
Nosegay: Nosegays are a smaller bouquet. The shape is rounded and uses more greens than the other types of bouquets. The flowers are sparsely inserted among the greens so the greens show through. The flowers which are suggested for this type of bouquet are iris, tulips, lilies and roses. The stems of the flowers and greens can be wrapped with ribbons. If you want to, you could pin a brooch to the ribbons for an extra touch. A nosegay can be casual or formal depending on the flowers you choose.
Arm Sheaf or Arm Bouquet: This type of bouquet is made with long stemmed flowers such as orchids, long stemmed rose, delphiniums, calla lilies and gladiolus. You can carry this bouquet along the side of your inner arm. One nice thing about this bouquet is that it can be placed in a vase at the reception and used as a decoration at the bridal table.
