Chris Gardner made poor decisions that lead to him becoming successful in the end.
In the beginning of the movie when Chris and Linda were still living together he forgot to pay the taxes. When Chris and Christopher came home one night they had shown up to there stuff all packed up and sitting outside on the porch area. Christopher was crying saying he wasn’t leaving and Chris started yelling at him. Also when Chris went to a meeting for a job with left his bone density scanner with a hippie girl telling her to watch it for him, but instead of her watching it she picked it up and stole it. Another bad decision that Chris made was not paying his parking tickets, Chris had to stay at the cop shop until he had enough money to pay the tickets off. One last thing that Chris did was not paying the taxi driver when he jumped into the cab trying to impress Jay Twistle with the rubik's cube so that way he would get him a job. In the of the movie Chris Gardner became successful because he impressed Jay Twistle which called him to come in and have a meeting with
Alan.
