What is a Christian Martyr? A Christian martyr is an individual who is killed for believing, loving, and following Jesus. We get the word martyr from the Greeks. The word martyr means to simply be a witness to something that was personally observed. In one of Jesus’s last conversations, he told his disciples, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Lesson 1, we can learn what it means to be truly committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus died for us so we should not be afraid to die for him. We should all be proud to follow and believe in Him.
