Christina Rossetti has an essence of vulnerability and reality in her poems. Her philosophical approach to the different aspects of life give a new sight and perspective to the readers. Her poems like “Life after Death”, “Death before Death” and “Goblin Market” gives the philosophical message that human limitations never allow the human to understand the meaning of life. This poem is a Biblical reference, which reflects the image of ‘forbidden apple’ in the story of Adam and Eve.
