Decorating our homes with Christmas lights in time for Christmas is one of the ongoing traditions we look forward to during the yuletide season. Many of us even start preparing to decorate our homes as early as the day after Thanksgiving. Because of its complex nature, we often leave outdoor decorations to professionals. But, have you ever thought of what determines the cost to install Christmas light?

While this varies greatly from one company to another, the general rule is that they are 30 to 50 percent more expensive than one storey houses. Some companies, however, just adds $100 per additional story.

1. Reserve Early. Most installers charge extra as Christmas fast approaches because the demand is higher by then. Call your local installation company as early as September.
2. Get Estimates from Multiple Companies. Give extra effort of calling all the installers near you and ask for their estimates. Seek out which one fits your budget and do a little research if they have satisfied
