I didn’t know much about this era, other than women, colored people, and workers were fighting for their rights. There were some changes that came from this era, changes that helped shape the way our society works today. For example, the minimum wage was set in this era. As was the paid vacation and the 8-hour work day. Thanks for the progressives’ fighting and perseverance there were rules that were set to help the working class (Discussion Board 9). I always thought that minimum wage was just something the government came up with as soon as jobs existed.
