Circumcision In The Military

Circumcision is a ritual that cuts off the foreskin, the sexually sensitive sleeve of tissue that normally covers and protects the head of the penis. This ritual originally started when god told abraham to circumcise hiself, his seed, his slaves, and his seeds slaves as an everlasting covenant (Genesis 17:10-14). this practice continued on but eventually came to a hault when moses took leadership because he did not practice circumcision (Joshua 5: 4-7). After Moses's reign while joshua was leading he reinstated circumcision and also turned all circumcised men into soldier in his army. during the hellenic period the jewish authorities modified the circumcision proceedure to make it so that a male jews dont resemble an uncircumcised greek and
as a way to prevent masturbation. this newly upgraded procedure, called peri'ah, was extremely painful and soon became the normal procedure my medical professionals. later on the jewish community took it a astep further and started using a procedure they called Metzitzah. In this procedure the mohel (ritual circumciser) sucks the blood from the penis of the circumcised infant with his mouth, which would yield a high infection rate amongst infants often times leading to death. In recent times his procedure has been widely discarded due to its high death rate of infants but when this procedure is utilized they use a glass tup instead of a mouth as a way of preventing the infection.
