I believe the kind of applications that was described in the article is business application. In this case, applications were used in the hospitals, delivery companies to assist the employees with an easy access to the needed resources, including work e-mails, databases, personal records etc. That means the kinds of applications include e-mails, calendars, photo sharing as well as professional applications like MEDITECH that allows doctors to access patient’s information. Needless to say, the main purpose of using these applications is to improve operational efficiency and decision making by fast and easy access to the resources. In case of physicians it was very useful to have an access from the iPhone to the patient’s medical record, especially, in case of emergency when the information is needed and decisions have to be made quickly. Thus, instead of waiting until doctor check the information in the hospital and accesses database there, they can find all important information when is needed by using their Smartphones. 2.
