1. Introduction
Citigroup Inc. is a globally diversified financial services holding company, whose businesses provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services . It has approximately 200 million customers and does business in more than 160 countries jurisdictions.

Throughout this essay we will discuss how this company assesses some of its capital expenditures decisions by analyzing the most popular investment decision criteria. We will also proceed to study which funding opportunities Citigroup has, taking into account the hostile financial environment in which it operates and the government control at which it is exposed. The third part of this report explains how Citigroup compensates its shareholders by the dividend policies study. Finally, a thorough study of this company's debt policy will shed light on its level of borrowing followed by some future leverage
