Club Rush Research Paper

An aspect of college that I have found exciting is the school pride. I expected to see everyone on campus focused on whatever it is their goal is at Polk State but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how amped up everyone got when there was a school function like club rush, spirit week, or even a basketball game. This small campus had me fooled that no one would care or bat an eye at school related activities but it seems like thats what this school thrives on, it reminds me of the same type of camaraderie you would find at FSU on a football game-day. Club rush and spirit week were the two things that got me the most excited about being a student at Polk State, not only were they bringing all the students together to mingle and make new friendships but it was fun. Club rush is somewhat overwhelming,
Once you go to a basketball game, you will most defiantly have school pride. It’s one thing to go out and support your team just because it’s just that, you're team. It’s completely different when your school basketball team is really good, it is very exciting to watch the games, to say the least. A basketball game was the first Polk State function I had attended. Even though I knew not a single person in the stands I kept finding myself on my feet cheering on the team and booing the referees for bogus calls, I had school pride. I sat down in silence for a moment because I figured everyone in the stands was just starring at me and that the game had come to a screeching halt, the players and all. But I look around me and I am surrounded by cheering students, parents and teachers. Thats when I truly realized how much school pride there is a Polk State. Weather it’s club rush, spirit week or game-day, along with many other students, I find myself getting more and more excited for the day to begin. There is no other way for me to describe that feeling other than pure school pride, and nothing beats
