As the Chief Ethics Officer for Forterra, the company can rebuild trust and its reputation by having a reliable and committed CMT (Crisis Management Team) that had the ability to remain calm in the midst of a crisis, collect and gather information and accurate data pertaining to the crisis. The CMT should be capable of making ethical decisions and releasing only necessary information that is relevant to the crisis to the public. The Company will acknowledge there is a crisis, take responsibility for the company’s contribution to the crisis, and explain what effects this had on the company. Ensure the public comprehend the impact the loss of business and what percentage of the loss the company has suffered (Crandall, Parnell, & Spillan 2017).
