GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS & FACULTIES
• The purpose of Summer Internship Project is to acquaint the students with the rigours of the corporate world and provide a live opportunity to apply skills, tools and techniques of management. • The Summer Internship Project (SIP) for students of PGDM is of two months’ duration starting from first week of June.
• After the confirmation letter from the Company is obtained, the student has to report to the organization at the stated venue at the scheduled date and time.
• Each student will have one company guide (the person who is looking after his project-related activities in the company) and one faculty guide will be allocated to each student.
• Each faculty will have a group of students whom the faculty has to supervise and guide to enable him in completing the project successfully.
• After the project is given to the student by the company, the student has to meet the faculty guide within 10 days on a convenient time. Outstation candidates should contact through e-mail and/or phone. Each student has to furnish some basic information about the Summer Project in a specified format within 10 days [Format 1].
• If leaves are taken for genuine reasons during the internship period, the student has to inform the company guide and the faculty guide immediately.
• Each student has to submit a brief (one to two pages) project proposal within third week of June in a specified format [Format 2].
• It is the student’s responsibility to contact with the faculty and furnish these details and discuss about the project. All these submissions are part of evaluations. See SIP Schedule and Evaluation Guidelines.
• If the student does not report within 10 days or does not provide the information, the faculty guide will not take any responsibility to guide the student further.
