1) The corporate role in any company builds the foundation of how a company succeeds and, also, how the public views them. Their organizational performance is based on how the company is run and what ethical structure they have in place. Their social responsibility runs parallel with their organizational performance. If a company is not successful within themselves they cannot be successful within society. The first thing a stakeholder will assess is the culture of the corporation. This involves identifying the mission, values and norms of the company. This information can typically be found in corporate documents or on company’s websites. A company’s mission and vision should align with their product or the area they specialize in. For example, a company that produces and sells healthcare products would not endorse or support smoking . Stakeholders will assess the happiness of the employees who work for the company. Their compensation and benefits, in addition, to how diverse the workforce is. The safety record of the company can mean a lot when it comes to social responsibility. Also, the availability of information that is communicated and the transparency of information given about the company has a big impact on trust. Stakeholders will also be interested in the customers of the company. How the customers are treated and the management of their complaints. They will also want to know the perception of how customers view the safety of the product or service produced and if there have been recalls and how they were handled. Stakeholders will also want to know how services are provided to disabled customers and the availability and nature of measures taken to ensure these services. Investors are also a very big interest to stakeholders. Without investors a company has no existence. A stakeholder will want to know what rights the
