Cognitive Development In Elementary Schools
Within this paper I will be discussing the current school systems in the United States. The questions are, are elementary schools in the United States healthy concerning cognitive, social- emotional development, and physical development? The answer is both yes and no. Elementary schools are healthy regarding cognitive development in the United States. Elementary schools are neutral regarding social- emotional development. Elementary schools are healthy regarding physical development in the United States. Do high school students meet the same criteria? High school students and elementary students have extremely different developments. Are the methods in high school realistic in preparing high school students to attend the workforce or college? Yes, high school prepares students for a further career. Whether it is college or a workforce after high school.

Physical development starts in infancy and continues until adolescence based on fine motor skills this includes proper muscle and bone growth. Children learn how to keep balance, jump on one foot, skip, jump rope, and plenty of other physical activities in elementary school. Children play in the gym and usually have gym once to twice a week in the United States. Children also have recess which allows them to play with children on the monkey bars, playing with a ball, or even running around the playground.
