College Admissions Essay-Where Should We Live?
WHERE SHOULD WE LIVE?
Where should we live? It is difficult to respond to this question. Some people prefer to live in a big modern city like San Francisco or New York City with many advantages, such as high education, good healthcare, entertainments facilities. While others choose to live in a countryside like Mendocino or Humboldt county where it is peaceful and relaxing. From my point of view, I would like to live in a big city, as there would be more opportunities for a growing-man like me for studying, looking for a job, and having a convenient life. The first reason is that I am a college student, so living in a big city would be easy for me to find a plum job. There are thousands of foreign offices, factories, and
companies which provide jobs in many fields are mostly located here. I not only widen my knowledge but I also become more dynamic and enthusiastic in this high competitive environment. Although living in the countryside has many positive sides such as quietness, fresh air and fresh food, it is still not my choice at this time.
Secondly, life in a big city will help me expand and enhance my relationships. I am a sociable person who likes meeting new people, making new friends, and exploring new things in daily life. Therefore, living in a peaceful place where the pace of life is slow and lack of entertainment and friends is not fitting for me. Moreover, a big city provides me a convenient life with variety of events, social activities, and entertainments facilities. Although living the life here is much more complicated than in the countryside, I am still attracted to cities and want to experience all that they offer.
In conclusion, it is still people’s choice to live where they think it is suitable for them. As far as I’m concerned, living in a big city like San Francisco would be a good environment for young people in studying, looking for a job, and having a convenient life.
