Education. Education is the key to success. In order to succeed in life, everyone needs higher education. Higher education brings many benefits for the future. Having a college degree will help people to be happy and successful. Lots of people debate and discuss over the advantages and disadvantages of going to college. The truth is college is a great investment for everyone. This generation is the future of the whole world. This generation can change the future not only economically but also emotionally. Economically; the economy will go up and the town or city would get richer. Emotionally; the family and close friends will benefit by spending more time with them. Many say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy something very close to it.
Getting a college degree can get students lots of money and bring them closer to their family.
More vacation and more money can get families closer by spending more time with them and living in better conditions.
To prepare for college, students should enroll in college prep/ credit programs. “
Participating in any of the state’s dualcredit programs can prepare more students for college work, save money, and increase post secondary graduation rates.” (Star Tribune). College is a good investment, but students need to be prepared for it. Some programs to help students get prepared are the following; Advanced placement, I.B classes, post secondary options, or Project
Lead the Way. These classes not only prepare students for college, but most of them give college credit for taking them. This benefits students by finishing college earlier and not paying a lot for it. Although we need college graduates, there are reasons why we also don't need them. “
More than 40 percent of those attending fouryear colleges tend to fail.” (Vedder, Richard).
