Everyone Is Not College Material
Do you believe that college is for everyone? The article “Is College for Everyone” was written by Pharinet. It is located on the website AssociatedContent.com. Pharinet states her opinion that college is not for everyone. She explains the challenges of receiving a higher education. Now days individuals are expected to receive an education beyond high school. People believe you have to attend college to earn a degree for a brighter and successful future. Pharinet suggest, “Higher education is not the key to happiness and success for everyone.” Reasons for attending college differ depending on the person. Some people find college to be a little out of their price range. However, some people just do not wish to learn anymore. There are many people in this world that do not have the patience or responsibility to take on the college life. Maybe some people do not attend college because they are not mature enough to understand the work given to them. Pharinet’s argument gives me a huge amount of detail as to why she believes college is not for everyone. She confirms this by providing her audience and I with many examples backing up her argument. Her article is very effective and does a wonderful job with stating reasons why college is not for everyone. I chose this article because I strongly agree with the author’s opinion.
She organizes her article by telling the most important information first. The author starts her article by stating, “You won’t get anywhere without your education.” Atleast that is what most people believe anyways. Next she explains to her audience that many students are enrolling in college classes who basically do not belong there. The majority of those students do not even follow through with completing their first degree. Therefore, they do not graduate and they end up wasting thousands of dollars. She says, “The student who is not yet ready for the academic and financial

With this as the starting point of the paper we can see that the author is assuming that most students are thinking of going to college as a way of either getting more money or job security. This may be assuming too much on the authors part, but it might be safe to assume that, for an over view, most college students go to college to be able to have higher paying jobs. The author also discusses the flip side on how people are thinking that college may not be the best option and she then gives examples of why people might think this way. Some of the reasons that the author brings up are the rising college tuition, slim job prospects, and the few college drop outs that are successful. With all of the “examples of college drop outs of drops who are wildly successful, such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg,” and how the media brings up all of the things mentioned above the author says it a good…

Every morning I wake up and gaze out my dormitory window at a gorgeous campus with modern buildings surrounded by clean fields of clean-cut grass. The only thing that might appear odd to any average SU student about this sight is that this beautiful looking campus was not their own. As I explore the surrounding campus near my dorm, Sadler Hall, there are several observations made which helped to determine the areas of "trivial conflict" and areas which seem to reflect social norms. One major observation made in this activity was the small community known as ESF (College of Environmental Science and Forestry). Several subtle and some obvious observations were looked at to determine how this area fit in with our community.…

Most of the parents hope their children could be offered a place under the programme because they strongly believe that their children can get courses that they really want in the short period of one year. Most of the outsiders repute that the life in Matriculation College is easy. But then, now I deny the view, my college life is somehow trying.…
