Concentration Essay
The color red is a complex and intricate color that conveys diverse emotions. I decided to center my concentration around red and everything the color expresses. I chose this because of the different capabilities red provides because it has such depth. Allowing me to do anything from a piece on love to one on war.
Many artist also understood the opportunities that color provides such as Kandinsky, Matisse, and Derain. Kandinsky did a study on color theory understanding the possibilities of each color and what they mean. I think it is important to me to understand everything that red represents as Kandinsky did with his color study so that I am not limited to just what I think red means to me, but what it means to other people as well. Another artist Matisse went against what was popular with artist of his time he “finally came to consider colors as forces to be assemble as inspiration dictates.
