Illness Symptoms
Flu Aching in the joints and muscles, headache, sore throat, high temperature, cough, and feeling weak.
Tonsillitis A very sore throat, high temperature, pain in the ears and neck, difficulty swallowing.
Diarrhoea Needing the toilet a lot, stomach pains, vomiting and dehydration.
Vomiting Being sick, stomach pains, and dehydration.
Slapped cheek First stage is most contagious - High temperature, sore throat, headache, runny nose, upset stomach, tired and itchy skin. Second stage – bright red rash on cheeks, chest, stomach, arms and thighs.
Chicken pox Rash begins as small, itchy red spots all over the body but develop into itchy blisters which will dry out and crust over after a day or two.
Rubella Red-pink rash appears as spots, slightly itchy. Swollen glands, high temperature and cold-like symptoms.
Measles Fever, dry cough and distinctive red-brown spots on the skin. Red eyes which are sensitive to light. White spots in the mouth and throat. Lack of energy, aches and pains
Mumps Swelling of the parotid glands (Saliva glands either side of the face just below the ears).Dry mouth, high temperature feeling sick and tired.
Whooping cough Intense, hacking bouts of coughing, which bring up thick phlegm, a 'whoop' sound with each sharp intake of breath after coughing, vomiting in infants and young children.
Impetigo Red sores around the mouth and nose, which develops into yellow-brown crusts.
Ringworm Scalp ringworm- small patches of scaly skin on the scalp, which may be sore, patchy hair loss, an itchy scalp.
Body ringworm- a ring-like red rash on
