Common Themes In Beauty And The Beast

In the world of literature there are a few themes, many are just convened in different ways. One simple theme can be changed into other themes but people many not nesscialy notice. For instance in the story Beauty and the Beast, the main theme is beauty lies within. THere are many other small toher themes in it. For now i will name the biggest and the most famu one. That theme is that the beauty lies within the person and not on the outside.

The biggest theme wich has been used in other books a lot is the theme beauty lies within. Hearing how I word this it may sound different to how you prevoulsy heard it. Another commmon way to say it is dont judge a book by its cover, or it on the inside that counts. Now with these themes there are different stories, but they all have the same message. The simpl message of a person may not look so beautiful on the outside or may even look mean, but when you really get to know them they are actually sweet and kind.

Now the book i choose with this theme is my favorite, Beauty and the Beast. In this book there are many different verions, as there is the original, the disney, and now the new live action version. Although there are different
they all have the same messgae. The same things that happen in all veriosn are what convey the message. The father get captured by the beast for staying in the catsle. Then belle comes and takes his place as being the beast prisonar. In the beggining tthe beast is seen as scary and rude. Then he gives belle a nice room and tries to please her. Belle still thinks he is mean but can still see he is kind. Then as the story progress the belle can see how the Beast is changing as he can be kind. Then in a moment they share Belle realises that although he looks mean and course he actually be kind. THe same moment the Beast is noticing how the way belle looks at him and acts around him is different. In the disney verion the song 'Something there" she truly says " true he is no prince charming but there s something tERE THt i didnt see before." Later in the story the town people come to kill the beast and Belle goes to see her father. Since the people dont see the beast as Belle dose now she tries to convince them that he is nice. THen Gaston based on the Beast appreance is able to tell lies and the people belive him. Although Gastion dies and the beast changes back in the disney verion. In the new version it shows how the town people remember him and they are are happy he is back.

THe message in the version is that the beast looks mean but is truly kind.
The message is very clear in the story as its all based on the curse. As for being cold hearted he will turn into a beast. Until he learns to love and recived love in return.To the beast this is seen as impossimble as for who could ever learn to love a beast. As they story goes on you relaised that somebody could look mean and scary but can turly be kind. The Beast almost dies for this as the people dont even try to get to know him. ALthought the beast at first is scary and rude to Belle he dose truly learn to kind to his servents and Belle. For some may say with learning to love he changed a little and other change as they see this. For someone not to judge him and trylut gt to know him and see they they were
sworng.

I have always lovd this story as a child simply for this messgae. I never cared for that she became a princess or that she got a prince. THe message is what trutly moved me. THis is exaclty what the theme of a book should do to people. They should read a book and learn from the theme. It moves people and they can learn from it or teach thers unknowly. This theme is seen in different version in different books, shows, and movies. It can becoved differently but the theme is till simply about beauty lies within. As a kid i have always learned not to simply judge from people appreance from this and i thinks its a beautyful message. As the curse goes there is one saying the really puts this theme in a few words; For Beauty Lies within.
