The paper reviews various literature and related experience with regards to start-up business, communication, leadership and followers. It concludes with a summary of the role of communication in the success of organization.
Overview Communication is an important tool for effective leadership. The effectiveness of every leader depends on how well he/she is able to communicate. In today’s increasing competition and many things craving for attention, the ability of a business leader to communicate is crucial to success. From effectively communicating with staff to reaching out to clients and customers, communication is a huge factor in business operations. Every organization, big or small needs to communicate clearly to be heard. Even more crucial is communication to a start-up business. It is my personal opinion that, the success of an organisation is effective communication from the leadership. In this document, I shall explore what makes effective communication and how effective communication from leadership foster organizational success. Peter de la Billiere wrote (Principles of Leadership) “no leader is effective unless he or she is skilful at communication” (p. 316)
