Communication and Problem Solving
After reading the article by Manoj Pawar, MD, I came to the conclusion that the reason why there was some blame, accusation and finger-pointing was because they were no established as a team. Even though they may have been working somewhat well together, there was obviously some lack of teamwork. No employee wants to have to take the blame of other individual’s issues or mistakes. The reason for this is due to the economy and the quickness that some companies have when it comes to laying off people or terminating them from the company. I do believe that if many of the people on that team would have just taken the information given to them as constructive criticism’s or just areas that needed focus, there would have definitely been a better outcome. It is human nature for those that feel threatened to react in the way that they reacted. If the supervisor would have come to them form a different perspective without the numbers and findings that she came up with again there would have been a better outcome. We as supervisors cannot believe that the people that work for us are going to have the same
