Communication Styles Worksheet
You spent the past few days exploring the resources available to students at University of Phoenix, and you want to share what you learned with a friend who is interested in enrolling.
Write a 150- to 200-word e-mail to your friend summarizing the resources available to students.
What’s up Joe, hey I just wanted to get back to you on your possible enrollment at the UOPX.
Hey just like you I was a little leery about getting back to school. But now I am so glad I did.
My biggest fear was that I would be lost in the online classroom, Wrong! They are so geared towards my success with the nearly unlimited resources and access to support of professors and advisors that I am so confident I will succeed. The University has its own Library with a huge amount of resources you just type in what ever it is that you are looking for and you get a bunch of choices on your query. You told me that you were afraid that you wouldn’t be prepared for math and that your writing skills would cause you to fail, Wrong again, they also have a center for math excellence, with tutors and both written and video step by step instructions, how easy is that? They have the same help for writing, its called the center for writing excellence. So no more excuses bro. And if that isn’t enough your first class is an orientation class that teaches you how to access and use all these resources.
So yeah Joe enroll you won’t regret it. Later Bro and good luck!
You asked your facilitator to review your e-mail draft. She liked what you wrote and asked you to write a summary to post in the class forum for the other students to read.
Write a 150- to 200-word summary for your class of the resources available to students. Remember to write using an academic tone.
