Communism and Capitalism both have some similarities and differences. In this essay I am going to compare and contrast these two systems. Although people might say that the differences are minimal, I’m here to prove that they are bigger than they may actually believe.
To begin with, Capitalism and Communism both participate in the global market. Also, these two systems use private property, and state property. Capitalism gives the people the freedom to make their own choices in what to do produce and so forth. On the other hand, a communist economy guarantees certain necessities for the people, such as jobs, food, clothing, and shelter, but the people have little/no choice in what kind. Though these two economic systems are run differently, the government in each will step to fill in the missing pieces of the people’s needs if absolutely necessary.…

One of the primary principles of communist is that capitalism is characteristically awful and represented a risk to the common laborers. Meanwhile, “The capitalists believed there should be a free economy in which private individuals made most decisions” (Brookioh, 2012). The communists see every single entrepreneur country as conceivable foes. As indicated by them, capitalism will in the end crush itself and it is their obligation to help it along. They deny participation amongst themselves and capitalist countries ideologically.…

In capitalism, any individual can go out and sell goods or services at his own price, and can sell as much as he wants too. Whereas, in a communist state, the goods are services are provided by the government and priced by the government. To be an entrepreneur you have to be able to take risks, work hard and be able to handle the outcome whether you lose or win. You don't have to worry about losing in a communist country because you are assigned everything and given everything from money for school and college to medical care to food and shelter. In fact, in a communist country everyone is treated the same and it doesn't matter if you are a doctor or a janitor, everyone is equal. You do not have to worry about the market failing and you losing everything you have because everything is provided for you. A capitalist…

You have no social classes, no political movements, no economic ideology, and you don't even have any money. Also in communism there is no clear leader. Fascism often has one military leader. They are also head of government and could become a dictator. Also they tend to put the state ahead of the individual. Communism and Fascism are similar in a way because the leaders that were communist and the leaders that were fascist were basically doing the same thing just in a different way.…

Communism is a type of socialism and socialism is based around the idea of the states being owner of their means of production. Communism is based upon the ideology of Marxism. Marxism criticized Christianity by claiming that it was untrue because it took the side of the wealthy oppressors (Shelley 2008). The movement that we know as communism today was started by Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov know as Lenin. Lenin believed that violence was Marxism’s ultimate weapon (Shelley 2008). The theory that came from these two men’s ideas coming together was the Marxist-Leninist theory which claimed “Christianity is an illusory reflection of the world resulting from class divisions” (Shelley 2008). Communism was about not letting society become classless because Lenin believed that religion would take away the power of government and to him that could not…

The similarities between communism and fascism lie in their political methods. The most obvious comparison is that they are both dictatorial, one-party governments. Under each government, citizens are expected to be entirely devoted to the state, which glorifies military and war. Their rights are virtually nonexistent, and the media information they see is censored so that they only are aware of what the government wants them to know. In Germany, citizens that didn’t fit the ideal image of the dictator, Adolf Hitler, were sent to concentration or death camps, mainly because the state had the power to do so. Though the ideas and goals of communism and fascism contrast, the methods they use to achieve them are almost identical.…

Socialism vs. Capitalism Samantha Conti University of Phoenix Comm. /105 –January 12, 2008 The disadvantages of Communism are that people have to be willing to work for the greater good of society, not just themselves. They will not receive all the fruits of their labor, no matter hoe much you work you will always get the same salary. Why would you want to work so hard if you were going to make the same amount of money? Human rights abuses, lack of incentives for progress for individuals which results in a slow progressing society as a whole. Under Socialist theory the individual’s needs are determined and satisfied collectively. Dissent and venturing out on one’s own are not option. Everyone is an employee and tenant of the state. In Communism people have little rights, everything is run by the government resulting in enormous economic failures, including famine, militarism and propaganda to cover-up the systematic failures of the government. Capitalism was developed in Europe in the 19th and early 20th century. Capitalism is an economic arrangement in which people have the individual liberty and the right to own property and to do what they wish with their property as long as it does not harm anyone else. These freedoms set Capitalism apart from all other kinds of economic arrangements. The Capitalist system is based in giving each individual the freedom to better (or worse him or herself). Capitalism signifies means of production. The heart of Capitalism is the producer’s right to make what he wants and the consumer’s right to choose what to buy. A free market economy and free enterprise. The major benefit of Capitalism is private property, the concept that people have the right and privilege to control their possessions as they wish. In a Capitalism economy the role of the government reflect the desire and goals of its citizens. Capitalism societies suffer from poverty too, but in a different way as there is a vastly unequal distribution of wealth (a few…

Communism is the political ideology that advocates a society with public ownership and the workingman is paid based on their abilities and needs. The idea for Communism, although well known before them, officially started with both Karl Marx and Frederich Engels in The Communist Manifesto, where they outlined their idea of complete equality between the people. Communism is great in theory, however historically it has failed as a way to govern a community.…

Capitalism and communism are different in their political and economic ideologies. The most clear difference is there industry. In the communism world industry is own by the state. On the other hand, in a capitalistic world industry can have private owners. While the profit of any enterprise is equally shared by all the people in communism, the profit in a capitalist structure belong to the private owner only. Whereas the private party controls the resources in capitalism, it is the society that controls the whole means of production in communism. Another difference is that for Communists, the society is above individuals. But for capitalists, individual freedom is above everything, the state or the society. The capitalist system is an self regulated economy, whereas communism is an economy run by the state. Also in capitalism, the individual has full control over production and decides on the prices. Contrary to this, it is the society or the government…

Capitalism and socialism are economic systems that both began in 1750. In my opinion, capitalism is a better system because it includes private property and capital accumulations. Capitalism affords economic freedom. It also affords consumer choice and economic growth. Capitalism and socialism are somewhat opposing schools of thought in economics. The central arguments in the socialism vs. capitalism debate are about economic equality and the role of government.…

When thinking of Communism, one may picture Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia. In reality Communism is meant to be so much more than an authoritarian government ruled by harsh dictators. Socialism, Communism’s predecessor, is essentially just a form of economic standards. Communism sprang forth from Socialism when greedy Socialists wanted more than just enough to get by and thirsted for power. It calls for extreme Socialist ideals with a reconstructed government and economy.…
