Chinese Revolution
In 1949 the communist leader Mao Zedong decided upon the creation of the People’s Republic of China or PRC, which then resulted in the end of a full scale civil war between Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Nationalist Party. This war happened immediately after WWII. They stormed through China, over running cities and taking power from warlords. In the middle of the Chinese unrest the Japanese attacked Manchuria, the Government of the Republic of China was faced with a “triple threat” quoted from http://history.state.gov/milestones/1945-1952/chinese-rev .
Modern Communism
The communist party in China is about 80 million strong membership which makes it the largest party in the world. Some of the reasons it is still in power are they monitor everything from what children learn to what people watch on TV. Being in the party brings many luxuries such as members get access to better information, and many jobs are only open to members they also get paid a fair amount of money. The system is also very corrupt as most of the positions are occupied by people that have personal relationships with the boss and not have good abilities.
