The movie is better because it adds more subplots. One of the subplots is how Meg can tesser. In the movie Mrs.Whatsit tells Meg, “Stay angry, little Meg. You will need all your anger now”. So she can tesser. But in the book on page 8, “a scientist who seems to have mysteriously vanished.” In detail this means Meg’s father is the only one in the family that can tesser that’s why he vanished. In the movie the darkness is and evil energy. Mrs.Which in the movie states, “Your father is trapped by an evil energy.”Provided that in the book camazotz is described as, “coldness deepened and swirled all about her and through her, and was filled with a new and strange kind of darkness that was a completely tangible thing, a thing that wanted to eat and digest her like some enormous malignant beast of prey,” as stated on page 52. In case in the movie the evil is spreading causing sadness and anger which gives more characteristics to the darkness making this part of the movie better than the
