Number one is that the old man was cruel to the young man. Unlike in the book where it says and I quote “The old man had never wronged me”. That was huge difference. This change also gave him a different reason to kill the old man. That was one major thing they changed.
The next thing I’d notice was the young man actually walked into the old man's room. In the book he just bursts into his room and does the cruel deed to the old man. In the movie they just look at each other. But in the movie as they look at each other the young man also walks closer. This was another major thing they changed. …show more content…
Along with the fact he didn’t sit down with them insisting they rest. He also gave an explanation for why the old man wasn't there.
These are the different things that I’ve noticed within the movie and the book. Also there are more differences but the movie and book do have some similarities. For example in the book and the movie the old man still has treasures. He also still has what was described as a “vulture eye”. So the book and the movie were not completely
