“Training is everything. The peach was once a bitter almond; cauliflower is nothing but Cabbage with a College Education,” was a quote mark twain once said. Grade school is training for college and college is training for life, but when you get to college you have a choice to make, which one do you want to go to. There are so many universities and colleges to choose from, it can be stressful, but once you find the one that fits you, you have to get in. CalArts is a spectacular college to go to rather than University of Southern California because of its art majoring programs, better overall cost, overall fantastic school life, and its acceptance rates. In the words of Walt Disney, the founder of CalArts a kind of cross-pollination that [would] bring out the best in its students.” (Sarbanes, 1). A college education puts you over the top so it’s important to get one.

It’s filled with artsy people who all want to do stuff within the arts. This makes for people to find friends more easily. Unlike USC, which is a college focusing on multiple forms of curriculum; this adds to a lot of variety. Tim Burton a famous student that graduated from the California institute of the arts says that, “He felt himself to be part of “a collection of outcasts. You know, you usually kind of feel alone in that way, like you’re the outcast in your school. And then all of a sudden you go to this school filled with outcasts! I think the rest of CalArts thought the Character Animation people were the geeks and weirdos. It was the first time you met people that you could kind of relate to, in a strange way.” (Kashner, 1). This shows that everyone at the school doesn’t feel alone. Most of the people at the school have friends, or people to talk to. You can’t be a misfit when you’re surrounded by people with the same
