One important difference between Twilight and Dracula is the time when both movies were released. Dracula is a 19th century novel by the author Bram Stoker. The second difference that both stories share is the film style.
Twilight reflects a modern style with many living luxury characteristics. The Cullen family live in a splendor and glamorous residence located in a remote area in the woods. The house is placed with so many beautiful lights in the center of the dark woods surrounded by trees. Also, the modernity of the film is noted by the luxury brands that appears in the movie. For example, BMW, Manolo blahnik and Carolina Herrera. All this brands were exposed in the big scream with many placements products. On the contrary, Dracula is an old style film. The location of the movie is placed in an antiquate castle in Transylvania. Also, the costumes designs allow a style from the 1800’s Romanesque renewal. The especial effects and the music plays an important role from the old style
film. Finally, the two main characters exhibit varying of power. Edward Cullen the main character of Twilight, show fewer weakness such as not lose his power in the sun light, can consume garlic, he is not harmed by water and he doesn’t need to sleep. Edward can survive with animal blood and he is not aggressive with humans. His only weakness is his emotions, he is too good with humans and he falls in love with one on them. In contrast, Dracula is more evil because he only focuses on the word domination. He consumes human blood to survive and he doesn’t have any emotions such as love and compassion. Dracula has a lot of weakness just as can’t go nearly garlic, can’t cross the water, can’t be direct in sunlight and can’t also enter a home without homeowner’s permission. Dracula needs to sleep otherwise he gets weaker and he only sleeps in a coffin.
When people look for vampire’s stories, in this case Dracula and Twilight, they establish that both share the same subject. However, they were release in different times, their film style is different, and there is a quit variation between the two main characters. Don’t judge a book by its cover or a movie by its title. It’s important to remember that every story it’s unique.
