The attack on September 11, 2001 was a major terrorist attack that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people, destroyed two buildings, caused major damage later on in the victims families and their lives after those events. Pearl Harbor on the other hand was an attack on the military defenses and injured around 2,500 people that also sank about 20 ships. Both these attacks took many lives and destroyed the future lives of many children and family members of the victims along with the destruction it brought. While F.D.R also made it clear that the attack on Pearl Harbor was deliberate and says that the United States was at peace with Japan when the attack occurred, he never says the word evil in his response while Bush used the word evil continually throughout his response to the 9/11 attacks. Both these speeches differ in many areas, one claiming the attacks were done by nothing but evil and terrorism ideas. While F.D.R only says that the attacks were deliberal and were wrong after Japan claimed to look for peace. (Apparently an hour before the attacks Japan and the U.S were discussing about Peace). Though I feel like both were able to bring motivation and give the Americans a patriotic feeling and a feeling of hope after both the horrible wounds our nation has
