Compare And Contrast Freak The Mighty
You know how the saying goes: the book is always better than the movie. And Freak the Mighty is no exception to this guideline. There are many similarities and differences between the two versions of the story, but overall, the book is much better than the movie. One similarity is that the same emotions and themes are being shown in the same way between the two versions. The themes that I most noticed are friendship, courage, and being true to yourself. First of all, despite their differences, Max and Freak inevitably became good friends, showing the theme of friendship. Secondly, even though Freak was disabled, he managed to rescue Max from the clutches of Killer Kane, proving the theme of courage. Finally, in the beginning of both versions,

    While these similarities show what these pieces have incommon Freak the Mighty and The Mighty still have differences that make them distinctive. Although the characters have the same names, I have got to say there appearance was definitely incorrect. In the book Max was said to be 7 feet tall, while Kevin was said to be 2 feet tall.
