He wants the message to clear and concise. I believe if the reader did not understand the moral of the story, then Perrault telling the moral of the story would help in the absorption of what he wants a person to retain. I think the moral of the story when it came to little red riding hood was very important and I believe a moral was not necessary. However, When it came to Blue Beard, I believe he should have mentioned the moral of the story. There were clear indications in the story itself. For example, when perrault mention that blue beard had a lot of wives that went missing should have been a message to the reader that a person with a lot missing wives should be investigated and women should not even think about marrying a man that has so many skeletons in their closets regardless of their …show more content…
For example, it was a prince that rescued sleeping beauty. Not only did the prince save the princess, but he saved a mass of people that were also frozen in a deep sleep. The brother's that rescued their sister from blue beard were a musketeer and both of wealth. There were no heroes in red riding hood, but the wolf reminded me of a man that preyed on little girls rather than an animal trying to eat it's prey. The heroes seemed to also be at the right place at the right time. This proves to be true by the blue beard and sleeping beauty.
Charles Perrault's Mother Goose Tales- This website was easy to navigate. There were not any illustration to view. There were links to access the books. There was also a brief biography on Perrault. It seems the last time this website was update in 2015. I would recommend this website just to find the books.
