“From forth the fatal loin of these two foes a pair of star crossed lovers take their life.” In the play, Romeo and Juliet quickly fall in love and grow attached and fate causes them both to commit suicide. True love is being with someone for a such amount of time that no matter what happens to them you will be this them forever and this takes maturity and time. Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love because they are young, Romeo uses juliet as a rebound if you will, they move too quickly to show true love, their brains are not fully developed to know exactly what they both want. Romeo is nineteen years old and Juliet is only thirteen, she is far from the adult age.

No you haven't because that would be moving way too quickly. Romeo and Juliet meet each other at a party romeos not even supposed to be at in the first place. Romeo is also not there for juliet he went to the party to find another girl is was dating and then just ran into juliet when he was there saw her once then fell in love. That is not true love, I don't not believe in love at first sight especially true love at first sight. Romeo first sees juliet “ Did my heart ever love anyone before this moment? My eyes were liars, then, because I never saw true beauty before tonight.”(shakespeare act one scene five). Romeo claims he has never loved anyone before when he sees juliet. Looking at someone does not show true love at all. To show true love you have to be with someone for so long, you have to know that person better than they know them self before you can show true love to that person. If you really think about how different this is just think this would be like one you or one of your classmates going to a party finding someone seven years older than you and then wanting to marry them the next day. That is not the definition of true love. The definition of true love is “Dr. Neder defines true love as caring about the health, well-being and happiness of another person to a greater degree than your own health, well-being and happiness.” this is Dr. Neders definition of true love and I agree with this but I also agree that is takes a long time to be the well-being and health of another in front of
