Source C stated that the NHS system is an efficient system, probably even the most efficient system in Europe. This can be seen from the statement,”Patients may wait for protacted periods for appointments and even longer for treatment.” If the system is as efficient as it was said to be, then how come patients had to wait for a lonjg time to get treated for their illnesses? Source A a;sostated that the NHS system wasn’t acting fair to the elderly, as stated in the sentence “Our systems of healthace leaves many of the elderly inadequately treated, even subject to ‘rationing’.” Source A also stated that the NHS system didn’t provide enough attention to the older citizens, as the older citizens are required to pay for services that they feel should be provided by the State, The NHS system was also said to have lacking in attention for the elderly, as the elderly were often sent out to the hospital to live alone within a few days of major surgeries. This means that in reality, the NHS system is often careless and ignorant to their patients, and therefore not reflecting the efficient system it’s always said to
