14 December 2016 Comparing Macbeth to modern world: Violence and mental illnesses
Both Macbeth the film and play are interesting and intense, but there are some differences and similarities. The film starts out very powerful and gloomy. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had a baby, but it died. You can see Macbeth putting stones over his sons eyes and then ends up burning him. That is something that the play doesn't include. Also, Macbeth got a visit from 3 witches in the play, but in the movie there's 4.
In the play, Macbeth seems to be very respected from the people. He got along very well with King Duncan. He was even loyal and protective towards Duncan. But, even lady Macbeth knew that Macbeth wanted to take Duncan's throne. She started talking about how great their lives would if Macbeth gets to be king. So, she started planning Duncan's death.
