Three things are required of man, according to Micah.
This is very important for most people, as they do not understand what is good. Boaz’s and Jesus’ Hospitality
&
Lessons I can learn from them
Jesus and Boaz are awesome examples of how they demonstrated hospitality similarly and differently and I undeniably could learn a few lessons from them. But when we compare the hospitality of Jesus and Boaz, we can see that although both of them redeemed people and gave food to them, Jesus ultimately went the extra mile when he redeemed us all from our sins, fed thousands and gave us promises of his love, care, and our inheritance in heaven from them both I can learn priceless lessons on hospitality.
Incontestably, Boaz and Jesus demonstrated similar ways when they showed hospitality to others. As the Kinsman redeemer for Naomi, Boaz redeemed Ruth and Naomi from their destitute physical state. Likewise, we are destitute, even dead in our sins. But Jesus paid the price and took away our transgressions. In addition, Jesus gives us sustenance, living Bread, and keeps us safe. He also notably says that whosoever will come to him, will never thirst. Furthermore, he fed the multitudes during his time on earth. Similarly, Boaz gave Ruth food to take back to Naomi. He willingly gave food, water with them. …show more content…
Although, they both have similarities, Boaz and Jesus also had a few differences.
Would Boaz have given permission to an enemy who threatened to destroy him? Indisputably, it was so easy for Boaz to give Ruth permission to glean. Whereas Boaz was just following the law in this case, Jesus on the other hand was giving his life to pay for our redemption. Boaz only redeemed Ruth. But Jesus undeniably, went the extra mile and redeemed his enemies, from their sins as well. In addition, Jesus has promised us place for us in heaven where we will reign with him forever. Opposite to that, Boaz only could give physical food and
water.
Hospitality is hard for me. When God brings people in my life that I should be hospitable to, I tend to react saying, “Why should I give my possessions to them? They are definitely not important to me.” But I am beginning to learn that God did not bring random people into my life. On the contrary, everything that happens to me, God knows. Whether it’s a frightening fire or a car accident, or a person who I meet in the shopping center, God brought these situations into my life so that I can be a blessing to the people in those circumstances. Consequently, I need to learn the hospitality that both Jesus and Boaz showed. Without thought of gain, they blessed the people in their lives with their warmth, kindness and generosity.
When I look at the similar and different ways Boaz and Jesus demonstrated hospitality, I know that I need to learn a few lessons from them. Unquestionably, they both willingly and significantly displayed hospitality to those that came into their lives. And I need to remember that whoever comes into my life was sent by God so I might be a blessing to them, and to show them his love and hospitality. But when we compare the hospitality of Jesus and Boaz, we can see that although both of them redeemed people and gave food to them, Jesus ultimately went the extra mile when he redeemed us, even his enemies, from all from their sins, fed multitudes and gave us promises to them that believe on him.
